2023 Asia Solidarity Lab Programme

About

The ASL Online is a culmination of the Asia Solidarity Lab Fellows’ Cohort’s journey tying back to the ASL’s original intent as an online mass training program.

During the ASL Online, the paired Fellows will present the Learning Sessions they’ve designed. While they have the guidance and supervision of the 350.org Asia team, they have the liberty to select their focus points, and present their sessions based on their own design.

Ultimately, the Learning Sessions are put together in this one-day program and everyone all over Asia is invited.

Climate Action Reality Check: Contextualizing Real vs. False Solutions in South Asia

Many false solutions are being implemented in South Asia (and beyond), resulting in communities not reaping benefits and these solutions failing to address the root of the climate crisis. Real solutions are founded upon the principles of climate justice, ensuring that the needs of the people are met through just and equitable transition, along with adequate climate finance. This session's objective is to take a step forward in cultivating an informed and critical mass of youth in South Asia who can actively monitor and advocate against false solutions to the climate crisis.
