The past year or so has not been easy. Between the pandemic disproportionately affecting the already marginalized and the climate crisis intensifying sharp inequalities all over the world, movements everywhere have been working hard to re-center ourselves and collectively link up to build people power.
This is why we’d like to invite you to the Asia Solidarity Lab. It’s time to sow hope and reap solidarity.
This event, coming after five years of the Asia Climate Leadership Camps and the recently concluded Global Just Recovery Gathering, aims to connect movements in Asia so we can come together and envision a post-pandemic future that centers climate and social justice.
We hope it provides us all an opportunity to reflect and restrategize on what it means to genuinely solidarity with each other’s fights, uplift local struggles and unite our calls towards regenerative movement-building for a just response and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic across the region.
Anyone can join the Asia Solidarity Lab, regardless of where they stand in their movement journey. Whether it’s someone looking to learn a little about climate and social justice (“not yet activists”), or veteran activists wanting to expand their network, it is a space where everyone is free to just be.
In solidarity,
Beatrice on behalf of the ASL and 350.org
